A new kind of progress report — and we'd love your thoughts

We're always looking for better ways to show you how your child is getting on — not just what they played this week, but how they're growing as a musician over time. This is an early look at a new bi-monthly report we've been developing, and before we roll it out, we want to hear from the people it's really for: you.

The example below follows a fictional pupil, Theo, through a couple of months of violin lessons. It brings together the things we think matter most to a parent: a clear note from the teacher, how lessons have been feeling week to week, the real musical skills your child is building, and what's coming next — all in one place you can step back and take in.

A quick note before you start: this report is best viewed on a desktop or laptop, where there's room for everything to breathe.

Have a read, and then we'd be so grateful for your honest reaction. Your feedback genuinely shapes what we build — what's useful, what's missing, what you'd love to see for your own child. You're part of how we make this better.

There are two easy ways to share your thoughts:

Thank you for being part of this. It means a great deal.
